Seeds of Hope Garden

Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church 1231 E. Chapman Ave., Fullerton

Volunteers are welcome to help in the garden every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Volunteers help with weeding, pruning, raking, sweeping, sowing seeds, thinning new seedlings, transplanting, harvesting and other gardening tasks depending on the need and the season.  We welcome your help anytime you are available.  Please wear closed toe shoes as our grounds can be uneven, and bring your own gloves if you like.  We have some available if you don’t have your own.  There is very little shade, so plan accordingly. No prior gardening experience is necessary; although healthy knees are important.  All of the harvest from the garden is taken to Pathways of Hope food bank, the HUB.

Quiet Day: Holy Saturday

Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church 1231 E. Chapman Ave., Fullerton

Join us for a time of reflection as we explore the waiting time of Holy Saturday—the space between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Our Quiet Day will include morning prayer, lectio divina, centering prayer, and a sharing circle to close the day. All activities are optional and there will be ample time for journaling, drawing, personal prayer, and just resting. A light breakfast and snacks will be available, and participants are requested to bring their own lunch. You are welcome to join us for all or any part of the day. We observe silence from 9:00 a.m. until the sharing circle at 1:30 p.m. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Barbara Wood at barbarajanettewood@gmail.com.
