This year, Deacon Hart Roussel will facilitate a special Advent program to run the four Tuesdays before Christmas Eve. The program will be based on the book, “Behold! Cultivating Attentiveness in the Season of Advent” by Pamela C. Hawkins, which is available at Amazon and other online book sellers for under $15.00. We will meet in-person at St. Andrew's on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-7:30+, starting November 26 (since Christmas Eve falls on a Tuesday we will meet November 26, December 3, December 10, and December 17). Refreshments will be potluck. If you would like to participate, please plan to purchase a copy of the book and email Hart at hartrous@gmail.com to sign up by November 20 so we can plan the potluck refreshments.
Join us in the sanctuary or listen in with the livestream on St. Andrew’s Fullerton Facebook Page on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month for Contemplative Piano with Joshua Wood. Josh offers us a prayerful uninterrupted 30+ minutes of flowing piano. Take a break from the stress of the news and hear the Spirit speaking through the keys.
We open our Clothes Closet at 5:15 p.m. every Friday. All are welcome.
We provide a hot prepared meal as well as a sack lunch for the following day. Do you have a few hours to spare on Friday nights? Join us at St. Andrew's Soup Kitchen to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who rarely have a hot meal. Fridays at 5:30 p.m. St. Andrew's is in need of dedicated volunteers to help serve dinner and assist with cleanup. Their time and effort will provide warmth, nourishment, and a sense of community to our guests. No experience is necessary – just a kind heart and a willingness to help. All are welcome. To volunteer, please contact office@saintandrewsfullerton.com
Volunteers are welcome to help in the garden every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Volunteers help with weeding, pruning, raking, sweeping, sowing seeds, thinning new seedlings, transplanting, harvesting and other gardening tasks depending on the need and the season. We welcome your help anytime you are available. Please wear closed toe shoes as our grounds can be uneven, and bring your own gloves if you like. We have some available if you don’t have your own. There is very little shade, so plan accordingly. No prior gardening experience is necessary; although healthy knees are important. All of the harvest from the garden is taken to Pathways of Hope food bank, the HUB.
On Sundays, we offer two in-person worship services: A quiet Holy Eucharist at 7:30 a.m. in the chapel and our full service with choir at 11 a.m. in our main sanctuary. Please join us! Our 11 a.m. service is live-streamed each week on St. Andrew’s YouTube and Facebook pages and remains available for later viewing and sharing.
Church School meets on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. in Moody Hall. Classes are for children in kindergarten through eighth grade or pre-high school. Children attend class during the first part of the 11 a.m. worship service and then join their families at the Offertory time so that they may all receive Communion together. Nursery care is available in the Blue Room in Moody Hall during the 11 a.m. service for children too young for Church School. If you have any questions, please contact our Sunday School Coordinator Honour Harry at honour.a.harry@gmail.com.
