In the depths of your being, so much is going on because you care about so much. Centering Prayer is a way to allow God to quietly but firmly let you know that you are loved in the busyness of living. Centering Prayer helps us attend to the natural intimacy with God deep within us. Nothing is required except showing up and quieting the mind—and turning the heart toward God. Centering Prayer is a simple method of prayer that expands one’s receptivity to the presence and activity of God in your life. You sit and allow your heart to open toward God. Whenever a thought comes into your mind, you simply let the thought go and return to an open, silent attending upon the depths within. Not because thinking is bad, but because it pulls you back to the surface of yourself. You use a short word or phrase, known as a ‘sacred word’ (such as ‘abba’ or ‘peace’ or ‘be still’) to help you let go of thoughts. It’s that simple: Sit, Breathe with your sacred Word, Listen. Clothes Closet

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 1231 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton, California

We open our Clothes Closet from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month. All are welcome. There will be a broad selection of men's and women's clothing, in addition to fashion accessories, underwear, socks, and assorted footwear.  Sleeping bags, blankets and hygiene products will also be available. Refreshments will be served. An opportunity drawing will be held for the following: Five 1-Day Bus Passes ($4.50 value a piece) Five $10 McDonald's gift cards No purchase is necessary, but you do need to be present to win. Each person entering the closet will receive a free ticket. The drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Free Outdoor Neighborhood Jazz Concert!

Come on out for a free jazz concert from 4-6 p.m.! Bring a picnic, bring the family, and enjoy some fantastic music from Joshua Wood and the West Coast Combo. Join us on the lawn--bring a blanket or some chairs and make a picnic of it! BYOB and some free snacks and beverages will be available, too.

The Son Shine Ladies

Looking for a way to stay connected with the members of St. Andrew’s? Look no further than the Son Shine Ladies! This group of women meets once a month for tea, and their mission is to spread joy through well wishes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and other special occasions. They also offer support to those who need it most, whether it’s “get well” wishes, special thoughts, or condolences for the loss of a loved one. The Son Shine Ladies are self-funded and have been meeting since September 2021. Join them on the penultimate Thursday of every month at 11 a.m. in the Orange Room for a delightful hour and a half of community and connection.
