Volunteers are welcome to help in the garden every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Volunteers help with weeding, pruning, raking, sweeping, sowing seeds, thinning new seedlings, transplanting, harvesting and other gardening tasks depending on the need and the season. We welcome your help anytime you are available. Please wear closed toe shoes as our grounds can be uneven, and bring your own gloves if you like. We have some available if you don’t have your own. There is very little shade, so plan accordingly. No prior gardening experience is necessary; although healthy knees are important. All of the harvest from the garden is taken to Pathways of Hope food bank, the HUB.
On Sundays, we offer two in-person worship services: A quiet Holy Eucharist at 7:30 a.m. in the chapel and our full service with choir at 11 a.m. in our main sanctuary. Please join us! Our 11 a.m. service is live-streamed each week on St. Andrew’s YouTube and Facebook pages and remains available for later viewing and sharing.
Sunday School meets on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. in Moody Hall. Classes are for children in kindergarten through eighth grade or pre-high school. The children join their families in the church at the Offertory time so they may all receive Communion together. If you have any questions, please contact our Sunday School Coordinator Honour Harry at honour.a.harry@gmail.com. Come on out for a free jazz concert from 4-6 p.m.! Bring a picnic, bring the family, and enjoy some fantastic music from Joshua Wood and the West Coast Combo. Join us on the lawn--bring a blanket or some chairs and make a picnic of it! BYOB and some free snacks and beverages will be available, too.
Looking for a way to stay connected with the members of St. Andrew’s? Look no further than the Son Shine Ladies! This group of women meets once a month for tea, and their mission is to spread joy through well wishes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and other special occasions. They also offer support to those who need it most, whether it’s “get well” wishes, special thoughts, or condolences for the loss of a loved one. The Son Shine Ladies are self-funded and have been meeting since September 2021. Join them on the penultimate Thursday of every month at 11 a.m. in the Orange Room for a delightful hour and a half of community and connection. For more information, please contact Janet Wylie at janetwylie@gmail.com.

Join us for Quiet Day in Ordinary Time, with the theme “Everything Is Holy Now.” Our time together will include morning prayer, a brief talk, lectio divina, Centering Prayer, and a sharing circle to close the day. All activities are optional and there is ample time for journaling, drawing, personal prayer, and just resting. A light breakfast and snacks will be available, and participants are requested to bring their own lunch. You are welcome to join us for all or any part of the day. We observe silence from 9 a.m. until the sharing circle at 1:30 p.m.
